On November 22, 2022, the 19th Elite Habitat Award Ceremony was held inBeijing. The "Ecological Home stay Settlement in Xingfu Ancient Village, Danling County, China" project, designed by Sichuan David Architectural Design Co., Ltd., was honored with this national award. 

The Elite Habitat Award is an authoritative science and technology award approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, focusing on the field of human settlements and urban construction. It aims to promote innovation and practice in green ecology, low-carbon environmental protection, planning and design, and other related areas.

TheXingfu Ridge project is centered on the core concept of"harmony between humanity and nature." It respects the original mountainous texture and natural environment of the ancient village, drawing on traditional construction wisdom and integrating contemporary innovative logic in its design. Adhering to the principle of"not disturbing the ancient village or the mountain forests," the project maintains the settlement characteristics of"scattered, small, and delicate" building volumes. Through a scattered layout, it achieves excellent sunlight exposure and ventilation, creating a low-carbon, livable settlement that harmonizes with the local geography and climate.

Project Creative Director Zhao Na accepted the award on behalf of the company. Chief Designer Liu Weibing stated thatXingfu Ridge emphasizes local character and cultural continuity, utilizing elements such as raw earth construction, ancient post roads, and terraced farmland to shape the rustic imagery of"ancient, tranquil, and rustic." 

The project not only revitalizes the cultural vitality of the ancient village and attracts tourists for extended stays but also serves as an important vehicle for driving regional economic development and increasing local income, embodying the development philosophy that"lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."

Since its establishment in 2003, the Elite Habitat Award has become one of the most professional, exemplary, and influential awards in China's human settlements and urban construction sector. The recognition of Xingfu Ridge further highlights its benchmark value in exploring sustainable development and ecological living models within the industry.
