To implement the series of decisions and arrangements made by the central, provincial and Chengdu municipal Party committees on the comprehensive implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, advance the improvement of rural functions and appearances, build a rural expression of a park city that practices the new development philosophy, and support the construction of a beautiful, livable and industrially suitable countryside, Sichuan David Architectural Design Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sichuan David Design) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on rural revitalization with the People's Government of Qingchengshan Town, Dujiangyan City on January 2nd, and jointly established the "Rural Revitalization Work Station of Qingchengshan Town".
This cooperation is a new attempt made by the Chengdu Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in accordance with the arrangements of the Rural Work Leading Group of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, to thoroughly implement the central government's guidelines on guiding "design to go to the countryside", promote government-enterprise linkage, and jointly depict a beautiful countryside. With the support of the People's Government of Qingchengshan Town, Sichuan David Design has set up a rural designer workstation, organized professional design teams, rural planners and other technical forces to provide technical guidance for the construction of villages and rural houses, and comprehensively improve the design level of village and rural house appearances. It will enhance the level of rural infrastructure construction and public service capacity of Qingchengshan Town from point to area.
The People's Government of Qingchengshan Town highly commended Sichuan David Design for its efforts in co-building the "Rural Revitalization Work Station of Qingchengshan Town". Adhering to the original aspiration of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, collaborative innovation and serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers", and upholding the concept of a "value community", the two sides will jointly explore the rural expression of a park city and take concrete actions to support the construction of a beautiful, livable and industrially suitable countryside.
During the signing ceremony, the two sides held discussions and exchanges on how to give play to their respective resource advantages and build a rural revitalization workstation in line with local conditions.
The People's Government of Qingchengshan Town stated that Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain are world-famous cultural heritages, and Dujiangyan City, as an important part of the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, is continuously deepening high-quality development. As a top-tier team in the industry, Sichuan David Design has achieved remarkable results in culture-led design and the protection of Sichuan forest plateaus. It is hoped that through the establishment of this rural revitalization workstation, the wisdom and strength of both sides will be fully pooled to jointly explore a unique revitalization path for the high-quality development of Qingchengshan Town.

Three-Year Action Plan for the Improvement of Rural Functions and Appearances in Chengdu issued by the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China points out that it is necessary to improve village appearances based on rural characteristics, regional features and ethnic characteristics, set typical examples, adapt to local conditions, highlight distinctive features, and avoid uniformity and sameness among thousands of villages. From Huaxi Village, the winner of the United Nations Global Human Settlements Environment Planning and Design Award, to "Nanxi Yao", the winner of the 2020 Kingfar Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and then to the renewal project of Qingcheng Horse Chair Workshop, the winner of the 2021 Global Human Settlements Environment Planning and Design Award, Sichuan David Design has explored a rural economic development model integrating tourism, ecology, culture and characteristic agricultural products in the planning and construction of villages and towns. Among them, "Invisibility", a work created in cooperation with inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, was exhibited at the 23rd Milan International Triennale as the only representative work from China, truly promoting the intangible cultural heritage of Qingcheng Mountain to the international stage. In the follow-up work, we will make full use of the historical and cultural resources of Qingchengshan Town, enhance the IP effect of Qingcheng Mountain, and strive to realize the feedback of architectural design to the rural economy and support rural revitalization.
