On May 10, 2024, the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Provincial People's Government held the licensing ceremony for the third batch of Key Units for Sichuan Foreign Affairs Visits and Exchanges. Zhang Tao, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province, presented the plaques to six selected units and delivered a speech at the ceremony, with Xingfu Ancient Village of our county being among the recipients.

Zhang Tao first extended her congratulations to the six units awarded the title of Key Units for Sichuan Foreign Affairs Visits and Exchanges in the third batch. She stated that Sichuan Province is taking the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative as the guide to integrate into and serve the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. It is committed to promoting the new image of Sichuan, opening up new channels, expanding new markets, and accelerating the construction of a strategic highland for opening up to the west and a new base for participating in international competition.

In response to the requirements of high-quality development in the new era, the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province has explored and established a licensing mechanism for the Key Units for Sichuan Foreign Affairs Visits and Exchanges, striving to build a number of new windows and business cards for foreign exchanges, and fully demonstrating Sichuan’s new image and achievements in opening up to the outside world. The six high-quality units newly awarded in the third batch cover fields including agriculture, culture, aerospace, food, and rural revitalization. They will inject new vitality into Sichuan’s opening-up drive and jointly help Sichuan shine more brilliantly on the international stage.
